The oxide film protects the internal surface of the equipment from corrosion. To improve its anti-corrosion properties, a coating made of polymer resins is additionally used. This allows the use of aluminum radiators in contact with the coolant, the pH of which is in the range of 5-10 pH units. The smooth surface of the parts after processing has a low hydrodynamic resistance, so that the polluted coolant does not cause damage to it.

The disadvantages of aluminum heating radiators, in comparison with bimetal, usually include:

  • fragility
  • quick wear,
  • sensitivity to the quality of the coolant.

Most often, the flaws are caused by the manufacturer’s bad faith. Little-known Chinese models are made of "secondary" aluminum alloys. This product is not obtained from ore raw materials, but from industrial waste, aluminum scrap and scrap of its alloys. Such equipment quickly comes into disrepair even in those cases when no violations during installation and operation were allowed.

All European brands are thoroughly tested. Many of them are specially adapted to sudden pressure drops and low quality of the coolant, found in the networks of Russian central heating.
